BOROUGH-BASED COHORTS
Connect with educators across school campuses, get involved with campaigns to dismantle the School-to-Prison Pipeline, and organize for changes in our schools.
SCHOOL SITE ORGANIZING
Build community power in your school and make real changes. In our cohorts, school teams develop organizing plans, get the support to carry them out, and share strategies across school buildings.
DIGNITY IN SCHOOLS CAMPAIGN
Organize with parents and youth to demand increased investment in Restorative Justice and mental health supports for students. TU is on the Steering Committee of DSC-NY, a youth-led coalition.
RANK & FILE POWER
Work with educators and allies to use the weight of the UFT to fight institutional racism and economic injustice.
RESEARCH & ADVOCACY
Help develop resources and tools that shape policy decisions about school climate. Our Participatory Action Research project seeks to reclaim the national conversation around school safety and create a vision for truly safe, accountable, and democratic schools.
POLITICAL EDUCATION
Facilitate workshops and present at conferences, or engage in a learning series with the TU community.
