Thursday evening, June 18, leading up to the scheduled Panel for Educational Policy (PEP) contract approval meeting, students, educators, and family members will rally in Central Brooklyn to demand New York City divest from the NYPD and invest in schools and communities. This comes after over 1,000 students, educators, and family members marched in Lower Manhattan on June 6th to demand police-free schools.
Join us for this Rally at Prospect Park at 5 pm. Be ready to make some NOISE! Please bring a mask, a sign, and a fully charged phone! Everyone is welcome!
We are also looking for people to call in and give 2-minute testimonies at the PEP meeting during the Rally. If you can’t make it in-person, you can also do this from home:
- Enter your email below to let us know you’re testifying. Knowing who is planning to testify will set us up to have the biggest impact.
- Look at this Testimony Prep Guide for support. There are some tips, talking points, a basic template, and framing ideas to get you started.
- Want to run your testimony by someone else? Send a draft to Madeline ([email protected]) and let her know what kind of feedback would be helpful.
- Registration opens at 5:30 on Thursday. Please use this link to register when it opens!
